Olio is free to use the food-sharing app to reduce food wastage at home/businesses. It provides a platform to connect the users to their neighbors and local shops to share surplus food and reduce food waste. Users can click the picture of any food or product they would want to share/sell, upload the picture with a small description and price to the app and it will be instantly visible to other users for purchase. The company offers mobile applications for Android and iOS devices. Since their inclusion in the 2019 ECR Food Waste Challenge, Olio have had a significant partnership with Tesco and a range of other retailers across Europe. They’ve received significant funding and are now looking to accelerate their growth- London
