Description

Self Checkouts - Retailers Top Priorities

In this session, we will explore two aspects of self checkouts.

First, we will explore data from a quick benchmark study of the working group on the most non-scanned items, and seek to understand what might be some of the common characteristics of those items found not to have been scanned, was there a disproportionate quantity of high value items? were there packaging characteristics, hard Vs soft packaging, or the size of the barcode, etc.

The second part of the session will be about the working group members sharing their top three work plan priority projects around self-checkouts. This list of priorities will no doubt differ depending on where in the SCO journey each retailer is at this point in time, are they in launch, discovery, deployment or improve mode? Are they working on multiple SCO formats, fixed, Scan & Go and mobile, etc.

This meeting is for retailers, CPG's and academics only.
