Description

Exploring the Impact of Self Checkouts on IRI and OSA [and implications]

Research from ECR Retail Loss has confirmed that scanning errors, wrong scans and walkaways will distort inventory records. It follows that those wrong inventory records will eventually lead to a shelf out of stock, unless and until the records are corrected.

In this meeting, retailers will share their latest findings from their own data analysis and any evidence they have found to confirm this relationship.

With support from the academic team (Paul Chapman, Daniel Corsten and Tom Gruen), the group will then go onto explore the implications and possible interventions retailers should consider in response to the findings.

This meeting is for retailers, brand owners and academics only.
