Fresh from our Dublin event, this interactive, highly engaging and fast paced session will provide a showcase for up to six early stage start ups looking to solve for some of the more stubborn problems associated with food surplus prevention and managing unsold food, including but not limited to these problems:

Q: How can we better extend and track the shelf life of perishable products across the supply chain?

Q: How can we make better forecasts to more accurately meet demand, especially for those products such as in-store bakery and food to go, produced in the store?

Q: How can we find new ways to increase the sell through rate of surplus food through dynamic pricing and awareness of price discounts?

Q: How can we find new, innovative and more efficient ways to exit unsold perishable products to humans and animals?

Each of the early stage start ups will have four minutes to "pitch" their ideas to three retailer "dragons" who in turn, will challenge and ask questions, before committing to a possible partnership, or not. The start ups are allowed props if appropriate but not slides or videos.
