Description

Fortress Stores: Keeping the most at risk stores trading

Retailers are reporting heightened levels of in-store violence and aggression towards staff members, increases in the value and frequency of theft incidents, and the impact of social issues including homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse and politically-driven civil unrest significantly affecting the operation of their stores. These issues are occurring within a broader context of organised retail crime (ORC) and the COVID-19 pandemic which continues to generate difficulties in employee recruitment and retention, changes in consumer behaviours, and supply chain disruption.

In this webinar, you are invited to the official launch of a new report from ECR on how retailers are responding to the risks and challenges described above in their most at risk stores.

Based on interviews with LP/AP Managers from 25 major retailers across eleven countries and 30+ in-person visits to their most at risk stores, this most comprehensive study has lead to the development of a Risk Mitigation Wheel. This Wheel outlines the key strategic approaches being deployed by retailers to keep trading in the most challenging locations.

To respond to the findings, a panel of retailers will share the relevance of the findings to their business, and how they intend to action the findings presented in the report.
