Date and Time:
Feb 3rd - 1pm UK
Location:
Virtual
3 Feb 1:00 PM
Organisers:
Tom Gurney, Head of RFID, River Island
Description

As the saying goes, every journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, and in this meeting we will learn about the ten year River Island RFID, the good, the bad and maybe some of the ugly.
Starting with the initial problem statement, sign off that RFID is the right intervention for the problem, to the initial store trials, to the scaled deployment and through to today, with self-checkouts and then more use cases for the future.
The case study will talk to the way the business organised itself to deliver this new capability, both in the initial start up and then as BAU, how the data and metrics from RFID became part of the way of working, how innovation beyond counting was fostered, and more. The presentation will end up with an outlook on what is on the horizon for their RFID programme of tomorrow.
After the presentation, retailers will have a chance to ask questions, offer comments, and then will be invited to share back what they heard that was for them, new, different, surprising and perhaps most interestingly, what they will take back to their own business as possible ideas to consider.
This meeting is for retailers, brand owners and academics only.
