Description

Product ID Working Group - New Retailer Case Studies on RFID

While the pace of momentum grows on the foundational inventory counting / inventory record accuracy use case, evidenced by the emergence of additional retailer RFID mandates from Walmart and Nordstrom, and the move announced in January 2022 for RFID to mandated into some additional categories beyond soft lines by Walmart, this group will be focused on and turns its attention to the emerging and new innovative use cases for RFID beyond just counting.

This will include using RFID to reduce returns fraud, to improve receiving accuracy, to manage fitting rooms, to trigger alarms at the exit of the store for items not paid for, etc. In this session, River Island and M&S will share their findings on these use cases, for the group to discuss and share back their own learnings.

This working group is for retailers, brand owners and academics only
